Depending on the time, the load, the excitation frequency and the temperature the materials gives way and after discharge not goes more fully back to the initial position. The largest proportion of this stress removes at the first initial load and in the following 24 hours. The rest of the settling removes within a year and is then not longer measurable. In the following diagrams the initial deflection per type is shown with a thin curve, the settling within one day with the medium thickness curve and the settling after one year with the thick curve.
